The Kevin Fenner rink of Bemidji are the champions of the first Vern Turner Memorial Bonspiel held at the Lakes Curling Club February 8th thru the 10th.

The bonspiel was named in honor of Vern Turner, a founding member of the Lakes Curling Club, who recently passed away. Vern’s family has donated a trophy and trophy case to the club and each year the champion team will have their name engraved on the trophy. Ron Windloss, Vern’s son in law, was on hand to present the award to the Fenner team.
