Kids Day @ The Washington Square Mall:
Is set for Saturday, October 14 from 1am to 2pm and Lakes Curling Club is planning to have a table. Thanks to Ron Windloss, who set up at the mall recently to promote curling, and received an invite for us to return in October and take part in this fun family event.

Membership Dues for 2006-2007 Season:
Will be open for final discussion. A decision will be made at the Tuesday August 15th Board meeting at the Club. If you are on the Board, your attendance is highly recommended. If you are not on the board, you are welcome to attend the meeting to voice your opinion, for or against, or make your views known to one of the Board Members who plans to attend and will have a vote. The decision on dues for the up-coming season will then be shared with the membership and posted on our website. The Board meeting is nset for Tuesday, August 15th @ 7pm at the club.

Josh Hochgraber:
Has agreed to chair Publicity for this year. Josh, a new member last year, recently joined the Board and is employed at Marco.

Thaddeus Wilson :
Has agreed to again be in charge of the ice. If you are interested in being part of his Ice Crew, be sure to contact him.

Curling Etiquette:
Let your Skip do the "skipping" unless he or she asks for your advice. Any member of the rink should feel free to discuss strategy with his or her skip before or after (not during) a game. It helps the Skip and Rink, if all members understand the team's strategy and in particular that their Skip's strategy may change during the game.
