It is open to all members, at $100 per unit for the season. Space is limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. E-mail Ron Windloss at windloss@tekstar.com or call him at 847-2849 to make arrangements.

  Kids Day @ The Washington Square Mall:
Is set for Saturday, October 14 from 10am to 2pm and Lakes Curling Club is planning to have a table. Josh Hochgraber has agreed to Chair this fun family event. Members helping out will be sharing information about curling, our club, and the benefits of being a member.

 

Community Ed Curling Classes:
Are set for Tuesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 16th from 7pm to 9pm , both nights. The classes will be held at the club. The cost is $9 per person and open to anyone and everyone. Encourage those who might benefit from this two-night class on curling, to pre-register with DL Community Ed at 847-4418 to pre-register.

  The Club League Championship:
Playoffs will be held Saturday and Sunday November 18 and 19th. The top (8) league teams from this past season will be invited to play in a single elimination tournament to have their team and name(s), added to the club trophy. Like last year, the playoffs will be held in combination with our annual club Open House, scheduled for both days 2pm to 4pm.

  The Club Open Bon Spiel:
Is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday February 9, 10 and 11, 2007. Tom Spry has agreed to once again Champion this event. For more details and or to register a team, contact Tom at 847-6769, or visit our website at Lakescurling.com.

Membership Dues for 2006-2007 Season:
As agreed and approved by the Board.
Returning Members (Tues, Wed or Thurs Leagues) - $100, if paid by Dec 15th.
New Members, or who have not played for (2) seasons - $100, plus a free broom.
Members paying dues after the December 15th deadline - $125
All New or Returning Students, Seconday or College - $20
Monday Night Mixed League, New and or Returning - $50, free broom for new.
Members Paid on one league may play on any other league at no additional charge.

Carefree Bonspiels:
Thank you to Roger Lee, for working with Carefree Getaway and our Canadian friends to the North in setting up their Bonspiel schedule. The Board agreed to work the Club's Open Bonspiel and are asking the League Night Captains and their Teams, to each take two (2) - Carefree Bonspiels to be responsible for staffing the Kitchen, Bar, and assisting the Ice Crew when needed. Please plan to help.
